It's officially been a decade since I released my album "The Hollow Tree" featuring Ed Zuccollo and Rick Cranson!
We've decided to have another hoon through the tunes (as it's been many moons). See poster below...
Back in 2013, after just a couple of rehearsals, we recorded the acoustic guitar, synth & drums on 5 of the 8 tracks with Troy Kelly.
Thanks to several helpful folk I then utilised various, somewhat quiet locations including schools (during the holidays), friends' baches and early days Garage Project Brewery office space (after hours) to record everything else!
I then had the pleasure of hanging out with the one and only Lee Prebble for a few days mixing it (I still recall being up recording some last minute percussion at 3am on the day we were due to start).
We had Nikita 雅涵 Tu-Bryant do an opening set and join us for a few songs at the album launch at The Rogue & Vagabond.
Lots of interesting memories attached to and embodied in this music. Thanks to everyone that was involved and to everyone who has listened!
